Artist's Description

Captured with a 1938 vintage medium format camera.
Artistic view of the William M Powell bridge that is part of the Rickenbacker Causeway in Miami. Florida. The causeway connects the midtown Miami with Key Biscayne and the much smaller Virginia Key. Both these kays are popular tourist attraction. The causeway is named after Eddie Rickenbacker, an American World War I flying ace and founder and president of ill-fated Miami-based Eastern Air Lines

Ever since my parents gave me my first camera during a family vacation, I have been hooked to photography. I was 6 or 7 years old and the camera was a little plastic Kodak Instamatic. I still have it. I love working with one of my vintage cameras. My cameras range in age from 85 to 45 years old and in formats up to to 4 x 5 inch. I also love working with alternative processes such as pinhole photography. Somebody said once about one of my pinhole Everglades images that the image Really conveys that Everglades look!. That was one of the nicest comments I have ever received. Is that not what photographers are going for? That moment that the subject, the viewer, and the photographer all become one?
