Description
Beautiful landscape in the Big Cypress National preserve Big Cypress is adjacent to the Everglades in Florida. This image was captured on film with a pinhole camera. A pinhole camera has no lens, no electronics, and no viewfinder. Just an empty box with a tiny hole on one side and a plce to hold the film on the opposite side. That's it.
Big Cypress is adjacent to the Florida Everglades National Park and was originally to be included in the Everglades NP. Due to the Indian reservations, existing hunting licenses, and some powerful families with oil interest on the property, this never happened. As a result, they did the next best thing and made it into a National preserve. This was a whole new concept and something not in existence before the Big Cypress dilemma. The preserve is administered and controlled by the National Park Service.
